Hoodies are the unofficial uniform of Bogor's communities and students. The highland air is often cool, especially near nightfall in areas like Puncak or campuses at the foot of the mountains, so a hoodie gets worn almost daily. The problem is that many printed hoodies crack or peel after a few washes, even though a hoodie is something worn long and often. This page is about DTF hoodies whose print lasts as long as the fabric does.
Prints That Survive Washing
A hoodie is different from a thin tee. The fleece surface is fuzzy, thicker, and needs more careful pressing for the ink to truly bond. If the press temperature or pressure is off, a print on fleece cracks easily after a few washes. We tune temperature, pressure, and press time specifically for fleece, then check adhesion before releasing the unit.
With proper curing and normal care, a DTF print on a hoodie survives hundreds of washes without significant cracking. Simple care advice: wash inside out, use cold water, never iron directly over the print, and avoid hot dryers. That is enough to keep a hoodie lasting for years.
Fleece Material Options
The two materials we use most:
- Cotton fleece (CVC). Thick, warm, and drapes well. Good for hoodies worn at night or in cool areas like Puncak and nearby.
- Babyterry. Lighter and less stifling. A fit for daily wear in the city or events that aren't too cold.
During the consultation we ask where the hoodie will be worn and for what, then recommend the material. Not every community needs the thickest fleece, and picking the right material keeps the budget from going to waste.
Sizing Samples Before the Batch
For community, class, or organization orders, sizing mistakes are the most common problem. Members pick a size over chat without ever trying one, and once the hoodies are made, many turn out too small or too large. That is hard to fix.
We recommend taking a size-chart sample set first. Members can try them and pick the right size, then we lock the count per size and run production. That small extra step up front saves a lot of complaints at the end.
Print and Placement
DTF can print full color on a hoodie, from a small chest logo to back artwork as large as A3 or more. Common placement: a left-chest logo, sleeve text, and a large back design. Because a DTF print is flexible and bonds with the fabric, the result isn't stiff when the hoodie is stretched or worn in motion. On dark hoodies, the white ink underlayer keeps colors vivid.
One common question is printing on the front pocket and hood. The surface there isn't flat because of seams and folds, so we suggest keeping designs in that area simple, like a small logo rather than large artwork crossing a seam. For large designs, the back and chest are safer because the surface is flat. We flag this during the mock-up so the final result matches expectations.
Hoodie Models and Stitching Detail
Besides material, the hoodie model shapes the final look. There's a zipperless pullover that's more casual, and a zip hoodie that's easier to take on and off. For communities, the pullover is picked more often because its back and chest areas give more room for a design. We also watch details like the rib at the cuffs and hem so the shape stays tidy after washing. During the consultation, mention the model you want and a reference if you have one, so we prepare the closest match.
